More Information

Following the success of our 'Cush' pillow, we are delighted to release the specific Butterfly and Moon pillows, designed for your favourite sleeping positions. The core of the Butterfly is made of quick response visco elastic polymer - meaning that it moulds to your head instantly and recovers to support you as you adjust or rotate position, creating that cradling effect. Most importantly, the curvature of the front edge of the Butterly is designed to fit around your leading shoulder when you sleep on your front (or side), allowing you to access the centre of the pillow. As a front sleeper, with your head rotated to the side, the additional side contour then lets you breathe unobstructed (a major problem for front sleepers now solved!). Many people also find comfort when front sleeping by fully embracing their pillow - in this case the Butterfly shape has been accurately designed to be absolutely perfect for this position as pictured. A pillow that you can embrace and hug in many different ways for ultimate sleep comfort and neck support. Whilst the pillow is extremely comfortable for front sleepers, we find that the contours make for exceptional sleep for both back or side sleeping as well. The Butterfly is an extremely versatile pillow that is often just what many of customers have been looking for. The luxurious washable outer cover feels fantastic against the skin and adds to the truly comforting performance of this unique product.

back sleeper

Choosing the right pillow is one of the most important aspects of creating the best possible sleep for you. It is not only a matter of comfort preference; the right pillow also depends on what position you most commonly sleep in, and the metrics of your individual sizing, particularly neck length and shoulder width. When we assist our clients in finding the right pillow, achieving spinal alignment is paramount, as is maximising your airflow for healthy comfortable sleep.
If you are a back sleeper, we salute you! Back sleeping is widely acknowledged to be the best position for long term sleep and wellbeing. Optimised breathing, spinal care, and pressure reduction are all benefitted by back sleeping. It is something we should all try and do, so the question really is why don’t we? The answer is because it is not comfortable enough for most of us, which in our opinion is a result of improper mattresses, pillows, and bed bases. The key to using a pillow for back sleeping is that it has to support your head upwards (ever tried lying flat on your back without a pillow? Ow!), but it must not take your head too far upwards. It has to be just right. So there is no, ‘one size fits all’, and as with most pillows, it is a function of your size, and your comfort preference for firm, hard, or responsive cushioning.

Front sleeping is the most awkward of sleeping positions, and in relation to sleep posture and back care, it is the most difficult to deal with. There are two key aspects to assisting front sleeping for those who acknowledge it as their most comfortable sleep position. Firstly to ensure that the pillow does not force the head upwards, placing stress upon the neck and spine. A slim pillow is the most likely way to achieve this effectively. Secondly, to ensure that the pillow allows you to breathe. Many front sleepers find that they have to sleep ‘at the edge’ of the pillow, otherwise it would be impossible to breathe, so a front sleeper benefits from pillows that don’t bulk up around the indentation of your head. The Slim Equilibrium has been designed to do both of these things, and subject to your specific metrics and comfort preferences, it is an excellent solution for most front sleepers.

memory foam

Visco-elastic, 'memory foam' is well known for its pressure reduction and cushioning effects. It comforts and envelopes, moulds and conforms, making it a unique and wonderful material for the bedroom environment. New generation memory foams have addressed previous issues of lack of ventilation, and heat retention, so that the benefits can be accessed without the negatives. The skill of incorporating memory foam into sleep products is something that comes from experience, and there is great technicality as to the different types, densities, response rates, and function. We work with the best in the industry to ensure that our memory foams are best in class and have been utilised for performance and quality rather than marketing and words.

side sleeper

Choosing the right pillow is one of the most important aspects of creating the best possible sleep for you. It is not only a matter of comfort preference; the right pillow also depends on what position you most commonly sleep in, and the metrics of your individual sizing, particularly neck length and shoulder width. When we assist our clients in finding the right pillow, achieving spinal alignment is paramount, as is maximising your airflow for healthy comfortable sleep.
Side sleeping is the most common sleeping position. Our perspective is that the loft (i.e the height), the edge contouring, and the firmness are the principal factors relevant to a good side sleeping pillow. It is critical that the pillow be the right height/loft for your individual shape, to keep your head supported and spine aligned. This is affected by both the width of your shoulders, and the extent to which you mattress is absorbing your shoulder zone. If you can find the right height, then comfort can be a matter of preference as to the degree of firmness, bounce, and response of the pillow with the purpose of keeping your head supported at the right elevation. For side sleeping, the pillow needs to ‘fit’ within the gap of your neck (to your shoulder), and therefore the shape and side contouring of the pillow can deliver a wonderfully snug fit, and absolute perfection for side sleeping.
