A 90% Down (10% Feather) filled duvet of highest European quality, made using 100% recycled down.
Auping as a company are highly focussed on the sustainability of production, and in creating products that serve our customers and environment in the best possible fashion. Hence the use of 'recycled' down in the Nest Duvet is groundbreaking in terms of duvet technology.
The Nest duvet is made using recycled down from other sources that would otherwise be discarded. Recycled downs are graded, sorted, and then sterilised and cleaned in accordance with the highest European standards. (NEN-EN 12935:2001). Every batch is then inspected for cleanliness and quality, and certified by the IDFL(International Down and Feather Testing Laboratory). In this way, the NEST duvet provides a high quality down fill that is as clean, hygienic, and as performance powerful as 'new' down (which are certified to the same standards). Only with an enormous positive impact to the environment through the recycling of resources.
'Nest' is available in two weights. Spring/Fall (175 g/m2), Summer (90g/m2), and they can be combined together as a 'Four seasons' solution utilising simple button fasteners (included). Whilst rated by fill weight as a European product, this is broadly equivalent to tog ratings Spring/Fall 9 Tog, Summer 4 Tog, Four Seasons Combined (13.5 tog).
The outer is 100% Organic Cotton, that is 'Nomite' certified (meaning that it is woven tightly enough to prevent the entry of dustmites).
'Nest' is a great mid level down duvet with great environmental credentials. Warm, breathable and comforting, it is an all round performer in its different weights.
This Auping Nest summer duvet is filled with recycled down. These materials are selected and treated/processed with great care to make sure they are clean and hygienic, like brand new down. Immediately after processing, Auping recycled down is checked for quality and cleanliness by the IDFL (International Down and Feather Testing Laboratory). You'll rest well knowing that your Auping Nest duvet is of the highest quality, has good filling power and insulates perfectly. Auping Nest duvets are GRS-certified - the internationally accepted quality certificate for recycled items.
The goose down filling is a naturally ventilating material that is insulative and light. The outer cover is made from a thickly woven, 100% organic cotton.
Suitable for people with (dust mite) allergies.

If buying the 4 seasons version, the two duvets are provided with the unique Auping 'button down' system to allow the two duvets to be joined for winter performance.

Sleep Engineering doesn't have to be overly technical. When considering our quilt ranges, standard UK 'tog' measures are largely inappopriate as most of our quilts are temperature regulating and therefore can not be classified with 'tog'. Our quilts react to you and your body temperature. So we try and keep things simple. Summer soft means that the quilt is lightweight and suitable for those that sleep in consistent temperature environments year round (i.e you use the heating in the winter). Our 'winter warmth' ranges are heavier, warmer, and suitable for the coldest months, and anyone who would naturally say that they require a high level of warmth from their quilt. In practice, the choise is easy and self evident, particulary in person at the Rested Experience.
