Starting with the inner core of proprietary Colunex 'Protech' springs, known for their responsive support and great longevity, the build of Charm comprises no less than 9 additional layers of differing 'engineered' foams and naturals combined to perfection.
The 'pillow top' is sublime, enveloping your body contour for amazing comfort and finished with premium tencel stretch fabric that is moisture wicking, hypoallergenic, and silken smooth.

Sleeping with 'Charm Extra'
Over the years many customers have told us they are seeking 'cloud like' comfort. And by that they normally mean a very high level of pressure relief, an enveloping sensation, and pleasingly soft upper layers in tandem with 'support from within'. As a 'pillowtop' mattress, this is what Charm Extra provides. In effect providing more than 15cm of pure comfort layers. Larger than some mattresses in their entirety! The feeling is like floating on a cloud as your body is comforted and floated on these generous comfort layers. From top to bottom Charm Extra actually comprises a total of 15 layers, 9 of which are provided in the upper layers. This is a carefully formulated mixture of natural materials, hypoallergenic fibres, and at least 5 different foam layers designed to work together to provide a unique feeling of comfort. At Rested we have noted that true skill of enhanced mattress making is in determining and constructing progressive mattress layers that work together to provide an overall effect, and Charm Extra is the perfect example of this. The support of the proprietary 'Protech' pocket springs within is evident, and yet delightfully cushioned by the top layers that do not deform over time. The mattress has differing 'dual comfort' firmness between top and bottom for total flexibility. Necessarily, we can alter the feel of the springs across the four firmness ranges to be just right for the user, and can do so for the individual sides of double mattress. The piping, handles, ventilation, stitching, and detailing are incredible examples of signature of Colunex quality. The outer fabric is a luxurious premium tencel stretch that is an excellent materials for moisture control, transport and wicking. Necessarily you wouldn't sleep on a naked spring, so all pocket sprung mattresses have a top layer of some form. What therefore defines a hybrid is that the top layers are not there to cover the springs, but to introduct a second technology of benefit to your mattress. Much like a hybrid car that uses two sources for power, your mattress combines two (or more) technologies for an optimised sleep experience.
hypoallergenic
There is a lot of terminology banded around regarding the 'allergen' performance of mattresses. What we know is this: dust mites like to live in warm dark places, in moisture filled, closed environments. Latex mattresses afford no such opportunity, and neither do truly ventilated mattresses. Hypo-allergenic means 'less allergen likely than others', which is the truth of the matter and why we use that statement for mattresses to which it applies. In addition to a materials specific properties and the ventilation of mattresses to reduce allergens, most of our mattresses also have removable washable covers, which is a significant step in terms of being able to regularly wash away any dust, skin cells or allergens that are either airborne or may accumulate through your use of the bed.
